Rizin Fighting Federation (stylized in all caps as RIZIN FF) is a Japanese mixed martial arts organization founded in 2015 by Nobuyuki Sakakibara, the former president of Pride Fighting Championships and Dream Stage Entertainment. Headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, Rizin was created as the spiritual successor to Pride FC, inheriting much of its predecessor’s philosophy: events are promoted as elaborate, large-scale spectacles with ceremonial fighter entrances, bouts are contested in a roped ring, and the promotion regularly runs Grand Prix single-elimination tournaments. Rizin is considered Japan’s premier MMA promotion. Parent company Dream Factory Worldwide owns and operates the organization. Rizin has co-promoted events with Bellator MMA and maintains a cross-disciplinary roster featuring MMA, kickboxing, and grappling bouts on the same card.
