> Absolute Championship Akhmat

Absolute Championship Akhmat (ACA) is a Russian mixed martial arts, kickboxing, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu organization based in Grozny, Chechnya, and one of the leading MMA promotions in Europe. It was founded in 2014 by Mairbek Khasiev, who had established Berkut Fight Club in Grozny in 2009. In November 2018, the promotion merged with the World Fighting Championship Akhmat (WFCA) to form the unified ACA brand. The organization is owned by Ramzan Kadyrov, Head of the Chechen Republic. On December 20, 2020, the U.S. Department of the Treasury imposed sanctions on ACA as a result of Kadyrov’s ownership, prohibiting American citizens and businesses from transacting with the promotion. Current president is Magomed Bibulatov. The promotion has held events across Europe, Asia, North America, Australia, and South America.
