> Vos Gym

Vos Gym is one of Amsterdam’s original kickboxing facilities, founded by Johan Vos and regarded as one of the “big three” Dutch kickboxing gyms alongside Mejiro Gym and Chakuriki Gym. In 1995, upon Johan Vos’s retirement, Ivan Hippolyte — a former world champion in K-1 kickboxing, Muay Thai, and Savate who had trained at the gym during his fighting career — took over as head coach and chairman. Under Hippolyte’s leadership, the gym has trained and developed world-class fighters including Remy Bonjasky and Mirko Filipović. The facility is known colloquially as the “House of Legends” and continues to operate as an active training destination.
