Team Alpha Male is a mixed martial arts training camp based in Sacramento, California, founded in 2004 by UFC Hall of Fame fighter Urijah Faber. Faber built the team around a culture of camaraderie and hard training that became closely associated with Sacramento’s combat sports identity. The gym produced multiple UFC champions and top-ranked contenders across the bantamweight and featherweight divisions, establishing itself as one of the premier training environments on the West Coast. Faber himself competed at the highest levels of the sport before transitioning his focus to developing the next generation of fighters at Team Alpha Male. The gym operates as a tight-knit collective, with the team-first philosophy Faber instilled remaining a central feature of its identity. Team Alpha Male is regularly cited among the top MMA academies in the United States.
