About

The Fairtex Training Center is one of the oldest and most internationally recognized Muay Thai institutions in Thailand. Philip Wong established Fairtex Garments Factory Company Limited in 1971 to manufacture and sell Muay Thai training equipment, and the first Fairtex Gym opened in Bangkok in 1975. Wong became a promoter at Lumpinee Stadium in 1978 under the Fairtex banner, cementing the brand’s connection to the highest level of Thai boxing. The original Bangkok training base later relocated to Bangplee, on the outskirts of the city, before the premier facility moved again to Pattaya. The Fairtex Training Center in Pattaya is the flagship site, set on 3.5 acres near Pattaya Beach and featuring multiple boxing rings alongside comprehensive strength and conditioning facilities. The center also expanded internationally, with a cluster of affiliated gyms operating in the Tokyo metropolitan area. Notable fighters trained under the Fairtex name include Jongsanan Fairtex, Saemapetch Fairtex, Stamp Fairtex, Gilbert Melendez, and Jake Shields.
